Role Playing

I spent my life as an actor

Until I found the right role to play

But now that role

Has united with my soul

Giving birth to whom I am today

I spent my life as an artist

Drawing other peoples' original designs

But now I've discovered

Besides through me there's no other

Work that's as originally mine

I spent my life as a writer

Copying others' great words

But now I can see

That what is in me

Are great words that have never been heard

For when role play and acting starts spreading around

When artist work for everyone else

I'll forever remember as I write this poem

The power in the role of myself
