Are you Sure?

You saw it
Oh you've seen it
But you have no sight
I see

You walked it
So you've been there?
Yet you have never left here
I hear ya

You get it
Yeah you've gotten it
You just never had it
Is that it?

You want balanced
You want to get even
Yet we never even kept score

See this is how we talk and the way we act
When in fact
It is the farthest things from being that exact

Faking we found it
When there's nothing to find
We leave the very foundation of ourselves behind

And then when the tape of life ends
We press rewind
To realize nothing was as absolute
As we saw it in our minds

So if you don't mind
I'd much rather be cured
Of seeming so certain
And being so sure

Song of Solomon: Chapter 3- Enters the Outsiders

Chaleal and Solomon floated closer and closer to the source of the screeching. As they approached the area where the sound originated, Chaleal frantically turned too Solmon. "Solomon, have you ever heard something like that before?" "Only in a classroom," Solomon replied, imagining nails scraping the school chalkboard.  Chaleal had now stopped to face Solomon, " That doesn't sound good Solomon." "It's not," Solomon said as he readied his blade. They were in the center of the village were the celebration was previously taking place. Yet something was odd. It has gone from screaming and chanting to dead silence. Not only that, but the rest of the Spiritay were no where to be found. Seeing that no one was around, Solomon and Chaleal changed back to talking in their childhood dialect. "Chaleal, go check round da village, I um... gonna gone look fer da beastie." " Righty den," Chaleal replied, and rushed around the corner to check for the rest of the Spiritay. Solomon waited until he was sure that Chaleal was out of view. Then he sheathed his sword and began to sing. "Oh I know I will go where the breeze will blow, if you'll just flow your way over here. Then we can go, where the tide is low, and we'll live without worry or fffffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaarrrrrrr!" "Well I'll be damn if that isn't good old Solo." Solomon watched the ground as a geyser of water blasted from the ground to form into the shape of a human being. "Long time no see old friend," the human shaped figure said. "Urulo ya crazy bastard," Solomon said as he laughed and embraced his old friend, "ya da oni one I knows who would da step a foot din dis forsaken place." Urulo looked at Solomon confused by the expression. "Foot? By whatever do you mean Solomon?" The floe
wcist have no feet." Solomon looked back at him with a blank stare. "it's bin dat a long sin we traveled ta da land of da humanity huh? Are ya really tellin ma dat ya don remember? Ahh forget it, I'ma just glad ta see ya Urulo. Ya gotten na idea how o' frustrating dis place das bin." "I wish I here to just say hi my friend," Urulo stated getting serious, "but I don't know how long I can control my body. I was deployed as one of the weapons to destroy your village." Solomon toke one good look at him and busted out laughing, "you gatta be kidding ma, ya couldn't hurt a-" he did not get to finish his sentence before Urulo hands transformed into a blade and slice the house next to them to pieces. Their was a silence between the two friends as Solomon toke in what he just saw. Urulo then came close to the face of Solomon. "Solomon , I am not joking. I was sent here to begin destruction of this place. Once my body releases the water signal, the others weapons will be coming to level the entire village. No one will be left alive. Quickly realizing how serious his old friend was, Solomon snapped back into a mode of sternness. Whenever, Solomon got serious his dialect would always change. "Got it Urolo. Thanks for the warning." Solomon toke a second to think up a plan of action. "Now listen carefully. After you submitted yourself to be apart of their little experiment, I began looking for a way to break you free; just in case something like this ever happened. I was successful. If you flow to my house on the hill over there you will find a glowing blue stone. It is called a calm stone, and should separate you from whatever substance they are using to control you now. I while you grab the calm stone, I'll go calm the villagers down. Then I need you to work out a defense strategy. And Urolo," Solomon said as he began to grin. "Bad o' habits neva die." "You haven't missed a beat my friend," grinned Urolo, as he began flowing towards Solomons house, "not a beat."
*******************************************************************************

Urolo flowed under the door portal of Solomons' house and began the search around the living room for the stone. "If I don't find this calm stone soon," he said to himself, "I could end up destroying this whole house. What a horrible friend I would be if I let that happen!" Urolo began searching all the more urgently. As he entered his friends room he smiled as he saw the stone lying on the floor next to Solomons' bed. Urolo picked up the stone with a puzzled look. As the stone began to melt into his watery skin, he could feel the full control of his abilities once again. Yet something seemed strange. "Why would he leave something this rare on the floor", was his first completely free thought. No sooner did the words exit his mouth did the violent answer appear. Unfortunately Urolo couldn't turn flow around fast enough to block the vicious hoof to the head. Urolo was launched backwards, and splashed into the wall. As he tried to recover he was pinned down by the sharp hoof of a centaur. Urolo looked up to see she was a beautiful female centaur, with long cascading silver and gold hair that only completed her voluptuous light brown upper body. Urolo immediately fell into a state of rapture at the shire sight of her beauty, but was quickly shaken out of it as she pointed her blade close to his watery throat. "Who are you, and where is Solomon?!" She seemed used to handling a blade, but Urolo could see that despite her tough exterior that she was clearly disheveled. For a second her blade slivered. As it slivered, the rock that had initially melted into his body rocketed out of his stomach, blasted through the roof in with an oddly orange flare. This surprised the female centaur long enough to give Urulo a chance to turn the tables. He shifted into a puddle under her feet and gave a watery smack to her hind legs causing her to trip on to him. As she fell he splash through her body, lifted the blade she had held against him, and now held the blade close to her throat. "You are foolish" said Urolo, " You have know idea if I am an enemy or not, nor do you know my abilities, and yet you try and attack me. I do not sense any evil intent in you, but if you try anything like that again I will cut you down with your own blade." "What da heck is going on her?!" Solomon hollered as his walked into the room, "Urolo will ya gave da blade back ta er please? Na need ta fight. En as fa you," Solomon turned to the centaur, "if ya lookin fer Solomon, ya'll find him ta be me, so please calm yerself." Urolo looked at his friend, returned the blade back to the centaur and flowed next to him. " I would not have hurt her too badly," Urolo said, " I just would have stopped her movements." Solomon looked at Urulo with a gaze of surprise "Gosh Urolo ya used ta be da one holdin me back." "Tiff Zon was here, he'd be bloodly shocked. He always wa trying ta teach ya how te fight." "Zon is why I am here!" said the centaur. She reached into her pouch, pulled out a note and handed it to him. Solomon toke the note, read it once, and snapped into action mode. " "Centaur, what is your name?" "Cyra, Cyra Yonell" she reply, "I was sent her to- " "I know what you were sent here for," Solomon send with a haunting glare. Solomon turn to Urolo with a air of annoyance. "The centaur and I have to go get Zon. Urulo, I am gonna ask you to protect the Spiritay from the other weapons and then meet us at Keepers' cliff." The very name sent a waterly wave of worry down Urulos body. "Is it that serious Solomon? Getting to Keeper cliff is a bit of a haul, and I only just got full control of my abilities. I don't know if I even remember how to geyser over there." This Statement sent a smile down Solomons face, "tif ya don rememba, den ya betta use protecting dis village das a chance ta practice." As he said this, he reached out and shook his hand. "Otherwise me friend tis was nice knowing ya." They looked at each other and busted out laughing. Solomon couldn't help but make jokes when Urolo began to worry. He found it immensely amusing. "Well den little missy," Solomon said to Yonell with a wink,  "I guess we'll be off den." And with that Solomon toke off in a shockingly fast float towards the land of West Holilair. " Well de good part dof dis is tat least I getta getaway from this boring place. Hurry it up centuar,we got much a ta do!" "I told you, my name is Cyra," the centuar roared as she galloped after him,  "Cyra Yonell! And don't you forget it Mr.Solomon, or my hoof my accidently end up in your...!" As Urulo watched Yonell Gallop after Solomon screaming and cursing , he couldn't help but smile. "She's just like Zon, " Urolo said daydreaming about the past, " my how time flys."
